Message	no flash(which is what it must be defaulting to when you turn it off auto flash) it compensates by keeping the shutter open longer. So, even if you move imperceptably it makes the pics blurry. Try turning off the auto flash and setting the camera on a solid surface(desk, coffee table) then use the auto timer feature and got sit in front of the camera.
